Newborn essentials

When preparing for a new baby (esp for those first timer like me & hubby), there are so many things we'll need. Some of my friends said it can be overwhelming, but i insist that it should be fun bah! Especially shopping for those cute little clothes. ;p Still, we have to bear in mind that the economy is very shaky nowadays and we're facing global recession. huhuhu. Therefore, I have browse the internet and search for "newborn essentials". So here is the essentials/basics:

Clothing - Necessities:

1. Babysuits/baby Ts/side-snap T-shirts/rompers
2. Pairs of soft, comfy pants
3. Soft pjs.
4. Soft knit caps.
5. Tons of socks and booties
6. Bibs
7. Sweaters

8. Sleeping outfits or one-piece sleepers with attached feet

Nursery:

1. Crib
2. Crib mattress
3. Changing pad.

Baby Gear:
1. Baby carrier/sling
2. Receiving blankets
3. Stroller
4. Baby swing and/or bouncy seat

Bathing:

1. Baby bathtub
2. Hooded towels
3. A dozen or so washcloths
4. Baby soap & shampoo

5. Cotton swaps

6. Mild laundry detergent.

Diapering:
1. Diapers
2. Diaper pail
3. Baby wipes
4. Diaper bag

Breastfeeding:
1. Disposable breast pads
2. Washable breast pads
3. Nursing bras
4. Nipple cream
5. Breastpump, bottles and accessories (if needed)

Bottle Feeding:
1. Baby bottles
2. Newborn nipples
3. Bottle brush and drying rack
4. Bottle sterilizer

5. Pacifiers

Maybe i should start buying some of the essentials for my little hero since there are so many things needed and most outlets are on S.a.l.e this month. With the discounts, then we can save the $$$ for something else. =) Sikit2 lah hoo...
