first birthday

Firstly thank you so much for those who came to celebrate Gegirl’s 1st Birthday! Terima kasih banyak-banyak ;) & a special thanx to Hubby a.k.a the ‘Finance Minister’, without your financial support, the party wont be a success ;P

Last Saturday, 19/06/2010, we celebrated Gegirl’s First Birthday. It was 2 days earlier than her actual Birth Date. Since it was our first time hosting a party for a 1 year old princess, plus it was kinda last minute…we decided to celebrate her so-called Big-Day at home. I said it was a last minute plan because we settled for the date a week before. Fortunately, Tuan Pengarah dpt mengosongkan schedule nya for that particular weekend. So, seminggu preparation kira last minute lah nak..mun molah pengilan maok-maok sebulan nak. Ekkk..over suda.

So the Party Planner was…none other than Yours Truly nan satu ini. Once we had confirmed the date, mulalah saya merangka-rangka apa yang perlu di-prepare/polah. The invitation cards, the menus, the goodie-bags, the decorations.








Initially, I thought of having cupcakes as her birthday cake but due to time constrain, last-last order a 2kg blackforest birthday cake, as for the makanans for that night, most of it prepared by Yours Truly with the help of the others at home of course. Some of the menu kamek order from Caterer & some di order from stall. There were Laksa Sarawak, Spaghetti Bolognese, Nuggets, Sausages, Satay, Chicken Wings, Fish Fillets, Salad,

Oh ya, actually the night before the party, ada acara “Deco Bersama Gegirl”. With the help of my cousins, jadilah balcony depan umah ya colorful & nicely decorated with ballons, crepe papers, ribbons, & whatnot. Ada tukang-pump ballons, ada tukang-ikat ballons, ada tukang nait-tanggak, ada tukang ikat ribbons, ada tukang selotep, ada tukang adjust, ada tukang tangga(Ee) & ada tukang kaco(Gegirl). Thank you cousins, without you guys sik menjadi decoration Kak Aina =)

Also to everyone yang berik present. Bagi pihak Gegirl, terima kasih tak terhingga diucapkan. =D tahun depan jumpa lagi…

gegirl's update

My cheeky little girl is already 10 months old! Another 2 months before she turns 1! In some way, her development isn’t like most of the other 10 months old baby…her development is somehow macam 12-16months old toddler. Gegirl took her very first step when she was 9 months old and now, she can walk on her own and she walks fast. Plus, she has 8 teeth to date. It surprised one of my colleagues as she said her nephew of 11 months old has 2 teeth and still crawling. Anak saya tua ija sikit la kali. =)

Gegirl is one quick-learner. Skejap jak papa nya ngajar ‘Jungo’ lalu tauk nya bila di tanyak “ney jungo ney?”. She’ll immediately show us her ‘jungo’. Other words; flower, fish, tv, lizard, bau, bye-bye, mama/mamiii, papa/papuuuuu…

As now she can walk on her own, memang sangat active berjalan seluruh rumah. And at times nya curi-curi mok nait tanggak. After few steps nait gik another step. Lebih si kecik ya. Another thing, Gegirl tauk mcmney turun dari sofa/ bed.

She’s still on the same formula milk-Enfapro and still eating Nestle Nestum with honey + cheese. I am still not letting her to eat on her own because she’ll definitely make a huge mess. She’ll splatter the foods on the floor, table and even on her dress/hair. Eating time, she’s be in her walker so that it’s easier for us to feed her. But there are times bila nya sik maok di engkah dlm walker, she’ll “kangkang kaki” so that kmkorg sik dpt engkah nya dlm walker. =) Oh ya, she loves adult foods. Mun kita tgh makan ada la nya molah muka kesian nya. Sik di berik lalu molah muka ‘geram’.

Gegirl loves watching advert on tv! Sangat suka sampey layap nya aih. She also likes to chase the cats; Misha & DekNa. Pernah skali mok tinjak perut Misha. Nasib sik di terkam si Misha ya.

Kaki-jalan. That’s Gegirl. Mun mbak jalan2 memang no problem sebab nya sukkaaaaa raon2. To date she has travel to KL (2 trips), Malacca, Cameron Highland and Sibu. 6 times naik belon (and she’s not even 1 year old). Another trip soon.. =)

This year, Raya falls in September and Gegirl will be wearing her first baju kurong/kebaya with matching shoes & handbag? ;) sik sabarrrrrr mok ngesep nya...

18 things about 8 months-old baby

1. Her weight is around 9 kg. Exact weight tunggu till her next appointment with her Paed on early march.

2. Loves gadgets esp handphones! So pls keep ur handphone/s in ur pocket/handbag or else she’ll grab it from ur hand in seconds.

3. Her fav words = "papapa,mamama...papa,mamak"

4. Gegirl is very manjak with her papa. Mun dah main ngan papanya,kamek nunggah pun eksen sik tauk aie. Oh ya, she’s also manjak with her TokJack(my father).

5. To date, she has 6 teeth which surprised most of us because kebiasaannya baby with her age has 2/3 teeth and some babies belum tumbuh gigi lagi. *big-clap!* and she is one strong baby…alhamdulillah dlm proses teething sik kenak fever.

6. Nektok dah start gigit orang and I think I was her first ‘mangsa gigit’.When I eksen nangis sbb sakit(nang sakit pun) she’ll laugh! Aduhhaiii buah atiii..

7. Gegirl loves to click her tongue – cluck,cluck,cluck and looks very ngegeh (yet cute) bila molah mcm ya.

8. Her sleeping time:
During the day, on average 3 naps and each nap won’t exceed 2 hours. Typically 30-60mins.
On night time, 1 nap between Maghrib & Isyak which usually takes 20-30 mins. If more than that, alamatnya ready jak…heroin sikmok tido till midnight. Normal sleeping time is at 10.00-10.30pm. She will ‘nangis-eksen’ mun nya lapar tgh mlm (signal mok susu).

9. Loves bath-time! Loves splashing! Lencun lepas berik mandik nya..leboorrr..

10. Her hair is longer (a bit). She has fringe which I think soon needs to be trimmed.

11. On average, a box of her formula milk will last for a week. On the other hand, a pack of her diapers will last for 2 weeks. And just a note, both her formula milk and diapers are of the best among all brands. She is a high-maintenance baby.

12. Started to practice walking in her pink-walker and she can moves fast. Pheeewittt.

13. She also knows how to stand and walk in her own cot/playpen. She’ll be standing one minute then fall, pick up herself, then fall again…berulang-ulang mcm ya. Perseverance is good =)

14. Gegirl also loves discovering new things which made us to (always) moniter her. Ada jak nak di gigit/jilat/masok mulut.

15. When we asked her “ney fan(kipas) ney?” she’ll instantly look-up to the ceiling.

16. Few weeks ago,started sleeping in her own cot (good-girl anak mama). Before this we (papa,mama,gegirl) slept together on our king-sized bed and lil’heroin always conquered the bed sampey papa & mamanya tdo ke ujong katil. ;)

Wahh. I came across a website --> www.babycenter.com and read an article on Milestone Chart: 7 to 12 months (Gegirl belum 7mths though). There were 3 categories of skills, Mastered (most kids can do), Emerging (half kids can do), & Advanced (few kids can do)

....and i just realized that my daughter is in Advanced Category!! woott!

Gegirl's 2nd entry!

Hi people! It’s me again, Qayrina Raudhah! After my debut entry on Mama’s blog months ago…now once again I’ll blog!..about my not-so-recent vacation actually and it was so unplanned. A spontaneous decision made by Pa-Ma. They were in KL & I was in Kuching staying with NekMa & TokJack. Mama was in KL to attend an interview and supposed to be backed to Kch few days later but somehow sik jadi…instead they flew me to KL. Everything was last minute arrangement; even my flight ticket bought a day before I flew to KL. Just so u know, I didn’t fly alone (obviously la kan). Cun-cun my grandparents also nak ke KL for a vacation on a Libra Star Cruise. We took the earliest flight; 6.00am… and on our arrival @ KLIA, Pa-Ma picked us up.

Then I had my days in KL. A week later, we went to Cameron Highlands together with Atuk & Nenek, uncles-aunties, & cousins. It was freezing cold! Especially on night time. Soon after we arrived at the hotel, off we went to the Butterfly Park. Apart from the butterflies there were some other reptiles & insects such as snakes, mantis, geckos (eww!) and iguanas (eww!eww!). Next stop was the Night Market, which in fact I didn’t go. Me & Papa went back to the hotel while Mama had her time there with the rest. Yes, only me & Papa. Papa drove the car while I sat on his lap. It was cool! =D

On the second day, right after we had our breakfast, we went to the Bee Farm. In my opinion, the park that we went yesterday is more interesting compared to this one. Again, the day was soooo cold + raining. Afterward, we went up to the BOH tea area…and actually we did nothing there. ;p After lunch, we went to a Cactus place and waited for Nenek to choose her own buah-tangan. Then, on our way backed to KL, I took my time cruising to the Lala-Land.

A week after we went up to the highland, we went down to Malacca to celebrate Eid al-Adha. Fyi, that is where my Atuk came from…Bandar Bersejarah Melaka ;) So, my first Raya Haji celebrated there. Went to 3 houses..macam sekejap but in fact at each house we spend for like 2 hours? Ehehe. The first house was Atuk’s eldest sister’s house, then to Atuk’s aunt and the final house was Atuk’s cousin. We also managed to meet up with Uncle Apiz. We met at Dataran Pahlawan (betolkah nama?) and had our dinner together. Reached home midnight,peeps.huuu.

After 3weeks in KL, it was time for me & Mama to go back to Kuching. It was rather sad actually...because, that will be my final visit & my final stay at our house in Kajang Utama. Lepas tok mun g KL sik la diam umah ya lagik..sik la Gegirl jumpa ngan Deknon (neighbour’s cat) lagik. Sekda la g Kedai Ijo, Pak Cu’s Jambu, Millennium, etc. At that house lah Gegirl membesar (dlm perut la). InshaAllah, panjang umur murah rezeki kita jumpa lagi ya Kajang Utama! +)

update-update

Entry di awal pagi…here I am blogging from home. Sik keja kah? Sik koh. Sbb today sepatutnya closing day for the Tourism Stakeholders Workshop which I attend since Tuesday @ Four Point Sheraton. Tapi since they (the organizer) said, govt representatives sik compulsory to join pagi tok…apa lagik, sik perlu la gago mok turun.heee. I don’t have to turun keja either. ;p

Just so u know, presently, I’m working at CM’s Office Wisma Bapa Malaysia and attached with the Account Unit at Human Resource Department. Assisting the Accountant of that particular unit..dealing with State Employees’ Medical Bills, Payrolls, Claims, Air Travel Warrants, Service Orders, Invoices, Vouchers and such. My time di office fully utilized molah kerja & makan (unit ya suka makan). I learnt a lot of new things and most importantly, I love my job & the environment of my new workplace! ;) The people are helpful & friendly. Though, the pay isn’t that handsome but Alhamdulillah.

As for today, I’ve planned few agenda. Pagi tok tek after hubby went off to his office, I pun tido balit. Eehhh! Sik ooiits. Sik ngando/sambong tido. I ada misi meng’sorting’ my old pre-loved shirts/tops. Sayang ngan baju-bajans ya tp giney nak molah dah sik muat. Mostly XS size & generally tidak lagi sesuai utk dipakai oleh saya yg dah jadi ibu. Too muda-remaja. ;p That is why kinektok I keep on wearing the same circle of bajus.. sebabnya, ketandusan baju setelah baju-baju lamak sik muat lagik. Thus, I end up mewariskan 9 pair of MNG, 2 pair of Forever 21, 2 Hush P. and few more from Elle and P&Co to my muda-remaja cousins.

Hokey, seterusnya 2nd agenda. I planned to open an investment account for my daughter today. I always have that in my mind but somehow due to time constrain, mala jak tertangguh maok molah. Before noon, I’ll settle that one lah.

Oh ya, lupak mok update on Gegirl’s milestone. She’ll be 6 months old next week. Current weight about 7kg. To date, nya dah pandey berinsut ke depan-belakang. Soon she’ll crawl. Besides that, she has started to eat solid food. As for now, nya makan Nestle Stage 1 & Heinz Rusk Baby Bites (orange flavor). Gegirl nektok suka molah weird voices. From very-high-pitch to very-garau-voice ala Ju-On! Last but absolutely not least, she’s getting cuter, of course =)

4months young

Gegirl Qayrina is 4mths old already and she's getting cuter day by day (ahah!muji anak dikpun.hee) Okay,banyak org nanyak.. "apa dah pandey nya nektok?". So topik kita pada hari ini adalah.... "Pemandey Gegirl setelah 4mths umonya" =)

1. Gegirl dah pandey musin badannya one side. Almost nak pandey pusin & niarap on her own. Perhaps in 2weeks time nya dah pandey niarap kedirik without org nulong nya musin badan.

2. Gegirl suka ngisap. Apapa jak dpt d capai nya,gerenti nya mok ambik & chew-chew isap-isap. Gusi nya dah gatal mok tumboh gigikah? Ntahla juak.

3. Gegirl suka raon lam Chicco (stroller) nya. Pagi-pagi after mandik nya raon & petang-petang before mandik raon juak. Bukan raon ke siney pun..pusing-pusing area dalam & luar umah jak.ekekekee..

4. Gegirl tok vain sebenarnya ngekot mama nya mengkali. Kenak? Sebab nya suka bergambar..bila ada org mok amk gambarnya tang cunnnnn jak lens camera ya d tangga nya sambil posing.

5. Gegirl suka nangga tv. Pernah skali,nangga tv sampey sik tdo (sepatutnya ya time tido nya).

6. Suka berloyar tp ekot mood nya juak la. Mun cun mood nya..rindookkkk ati nengar sora nya yg high-pitch ya berloyar..& bila nya tetak nak,tang berlemak jak bunyi..rindookk ati kohh..

7. Gegirl pun time tdo nektok dah kedak nemiak dah besar. Salu nya tdo mlm kol930-10pm kedak ya..lalulah nyenyak sampey dekat nak suboh baruk nya bgn skejap nak nyusu (eh,nya sik bgn..mata nya pejam tp mulut nya nyusu). Dah kol730-8am barukla nya bangun. Alhamdulillah tdo nya teratur sik perlu la mama papa nya jadi batman n batgirl berjaga malam. =)

8. Gegirl pun weight nektok dlm 6.5kg kedak ya..normal la weight nya ngan umo nya.

9. Suka nangis eksen bila mok org ngembak nya..iboh jak beliang mun nya nangis tang nyerin jak tp bila di ambik & di embak serta merta alu ilang tangis ya.hehehe

10. Pandey mdh "assalamualaikum" & "hello". Gegirl dah pandey ngira 1-2-3 & maca A-B-C juak. (tok eksen jakk.molah crita tambahan sak cukup 10 bah..mun 4mths dah pandey, haruslah masok newspaper oits)

After 4 months, tomorrow I’ll be going back to KL. How do I feel? Happy? Yes, because I’ll be closer to hubby and furthermore I’ll start working after months bercuti-cuti Malaysia. But at the same time I feel sooooo sad…because Gegirl Qayrina will stay in Kuching with NekMa & TokJack until everything dah settle di sinun. Sangat-sangat sedih aih. Even tengah nulis blog tok pun airmata berlinang jak.huhu.pathetic kah?whatever! if u’re in my shoes then only u know giney rasa. Just so you know,Within this 4months (plus 9months dlm perut)…me & my daughter sik pernah berjauh for more than 5 hours I would say. I really hope that I can cope with this…and same goes to her. Mudahan Gegirl sik tercarik-carik gilak. Kesian nya.

To Gegirl Sayang…Mama & Papa really have to do this for the sake of our family…bukan saja-saja suka-suka.huhuhuuu. Mama will definitely miss you so so sooooo much.

Gegirl's diary

Last week, I was in KL & it was my first traveling experience. I was only about 50days old…obviously Mama & NekMa were a bit nervous. So I tried my best to behave as ‘quai’ as I could. & I did! =) I didn’t go cranky as Mama thought, during the take-off and landing. I slept soundly until we touched down at LCCT. *big clap!*

Papa & Uncle Apiz picked us up at the airport & in Papa’s car,once again I doze off to lala-land. So that was my first day activity. S.l.e.e.p.i.n.g

Day 2 & Day 3
That day was Aunty Amy & Uncle Bob’s convocation day. I didn’t attend, as NekMa said there were so many people and hot and humid. So much better for me to stay at home. Parenthetically, Mama,Papa,Akong & Uncle Apiz went to their convocation.

p/s: it’s Papa & Mama’s first anniversary on that Saturday (which they didn’t celebrate it outside berdua-duaan because I was a bit cranky that night)

On day 3, another convocation…which was Uncle Apiz’s. Again, I just stayed at home with Kak Ju. I cannot stand hot weather outside. Too hot for an infant like me =)

Day 4
That day was the day I went to shopping malls! & I love it! =D Mama & Papa should bring me to the malls more often. However, not now, as the H1N1 thingy is still very menakutkan. Went to Jusco Seri Kembangan, Ikano & Ikea. Most of the time I slept in my stroller. My cool-red-Chicco! I had heaps of fun innit! ;D Ohkay, we had our lunch at Jusco and then off to Ikea & Ikano. Oh ya,I did my ‘daily-business’ at Ikea. Mama & NekMa brought me to the Changing Room @ Ikea and the room was so cool! Much better than the toilets I bet (though I never enter the toilets). At Ikano, Mama managed to buy few new rompers and tees for me. Pakey Raya kata Mama…but I think I’ve wore two of them last few days..hmmm..

Day 5
Another outing day…we went to Macy because Papa wanted to buy a new sofa set. The place was so nice and cosy. And the set that Papa & Mama chose was very fine-looking. Mama picked dark brown fabric rather than lighter color. Perhaps, they worried that I might do some ‘art-work’ on it later. ;p Then, off we went to Subang Parade. Had lunch and jalan2 a bit , afterward we went to KLIA to pick-up Atuk & Nenek from Kuching. And then to Uncle Mas’ house and I met my cousins who live in KL for the first time. Kak Fatin, Abg Aiman, Kak Fifah, Abg A’ish & Abg Adha. ;)

Day 6
It’s Papa’s 28th birthday!!! Another special day! ;) We celebrated Papa’s birthday at home. Mama bought a birthday cake, pizza, satay and some other makanans. I was sleeping during the cake-cutting part. Nevertheless, next year I’ll make sure that I am the one who’ll blow the candles on Mama/Papa’s birthday cake! =D
Day 7
During the day I just stayed at home whilst Mama went to Jalan TAR with NekMa. They went back around 3pm and at 5 something Uncle Apiz send me & Mama to Papa’s office. Met few of Papa’s colleagues and then we went to see Atuk & Nenek at Kota Damansara.

Day 8
Its was Friday. Me & Mama with Akong and Kak Ju stayed at home while Tok Jack, NekMa, Uncle Apiz & Usu Syafiq went to KL for some Herbalife matters. And Papa went to his office ler. NekMa balek around 3pm. Around 5pm, Mama and the others went to Ikea. This time I stayed at home with Nekma & at 7 something Papa came back from work. Mama said they only managed to arrive at Ikea at 8 something. Bad traffic! 2hours to get to Ikea?? Whoooaaaa!

Day 9
Nothing much. Went to Uncle Mas’ place. I was a bit cranky on that day. Very bad-mood especially when we were on our way back to Kajang. I cried all the way. Huhu. And only slept around 3am. Maybe because it was my last night before went back to Kuching the next day. Slept on Papa’s hand while Mama packed the bag. Mama said it’s kinda hard to pack light when traveling with me. Ya,I know. So many things. Clothes, diapers, formula milk, feeding bottles, tonnes of mittens and booties, nappy cream, minyak yu-yi & minyak-apa-jak-lagik, etc. Anyhoo, Mama managed to stash everything (hers & mine) into just ONE bag. =)

Day 10
Balek Kuching…without Papa. Huhu but it’s okay, I’ll see Papa again by the end of this month. Can’t hardly wait to berpuasa with Papa. *though Gegirl sik berpuasa pun ;p*

Overall, I enjoyed my first holiday trip very much, every bit of it!

father's day 2009

That day was the day when the world celebrated Father’s Day. Initial plan was, morning – check-up with Dr Suria and then to Sunny Hill for ice-cream, afternoon – parent-in-law’s hse to celebrate Father’s Day, Evening – TopSpot Seafood with my family.

So, as planned…around 10.30am off to Normah with hubby and headed straight to Mulu Wing. Ilek-ilek ajak coz I thought after being monitored with the CTG machine boleh balit trus. Afterall, none of the three major labor signs has knocked the door yet. Waterbroke, stain of blood , contractions. Maybe there were few contractions but mild ones & there were stain of blood but that was cause by S&S (senang crita it’s a vaginal examination). Dr Suria did S&S procedure once again that morning and told me that my serviks hasn’t dilated yet while the CTG reading was not stable. That was around 11.30am. Once I had my contractions which were mild ones (known as Braxton Hicks), baby’s heartbeat dropped below 120 (normal 140 to 160). Dr Suria wasn’t happy with the reading and worried what will happen once I had the real-seriously-painful-contractions.

There were no other options but to immediately go for ceaserian section. When she told me that I had to go for c-section, tuhan jak tauk mcm ney rasa ati. Segala bagai rasa. Yalah nak,sapa sik takut..c-section is a major operation. Moreover, the operation bukan nya esok or bukan nya malam ya but immediately after being attached to the CTG machine. Beliang skejap. I tried my very best to remain calm and not to act panic because I didn’t want hubby to get panic too. Changed to a green hospital gown & trus ke operation theater. Everything was so fast sampey my mom sik sempat mok datang before 12.30pm. She was attending a wedding reception @ Civic Centre. And koatan begaut tek nak, eye shadow & eyeliner pun sik sempat mok di cuci. Ber'make-up' I di operate. ;p

There were 3 doctors…my gynae;Dr Suria, baby’s paediatrician; Dr Alex and an anaestheologist; Dr Wan. Firstly, Dr Wan did his part; epidural procedure. Few seconds after he injected the epidural, both legs were getting hot and numb. Then, I can’t felt the lower part of my body aih. I can’t even locate where my legs were. Oh ya, hubby was with me all along and he witnessed the whole process. He is my strength. If u’re reading this, thanx for being there sayang. Thanx for everything. And I’m very proud of u! (bukan semua org brani mok tengok operation mcm ya aih)

On the bedah-bedah perut part, I don’t know to describe how I felt…macam nyawa ujong tanduk. Breathless. Sesak menar nyawa time ya & the moment Dr Wan push my chest, I can’t breathe for few seconds. Hubby said that was the moment when the doctors ngeluar baby dr perut. I was very drowsy and sleepy but I tried my best to open my eyes sbb mok tgk baby! 21st June 2009 @ 1.04pm, weight 2.9kg, 48cm height… our baby came into the world. Our healthy & beautiful baby girl. I saw the true happiness in my husband & I’m proud that I’m the chosen one ;) I love u and my love for u is unlimited till the end of my life.

Alhamdulillah that both my pregnancy and delivery process was easy in a way that I didn’t face much problem.

Also thank you to kitakorg semua2; family & friends for the warm wishes and prayers. May Allah blessed your life with happiness too. =)
